Just a short drive from The Carpenters Arms Inn to Cardigan market town. Full range of shops with some interesting curios to browse in the town center. North Pembrokeshire and South Ceredigion (old Cardiganshire) offers some of the finest sandy beaches in Wales - in particular Mwnt, Penbryn, Tresaith, and Llangranog are but a short drive. The river Teifi flows through a beautiful wooded valley. Between Llechryd and Cilgerran the river passes through a spectacular gorge before reaching its wide estuary at Cardigan. An evening stole along the banks of the Teifi will take you through this gorge to Cilgerran and its ancient castle. The Teif is renowned for its salmon and sewin fishing - late summer the Coracle men gather after dusk on the bridge at Llechryd for their evening fishing.
